The Mighty METALLICA Stag party!

Right now I'm busy packing and getting ready for my trip up to Sweden with the boys (Joakim, Timbo, Jason) for a bit of a stag party. We are meeting up and staying with Gustaf who will show us some of the hot spots in Malmo.

But the highlight for me will be when we head down to Cph to see Metallica!!

Its been a while since I have seen them live and I cant think of anything else I would rather do for a stage party.....well, I could think of a few other things but thats not the kind of thing I want the future Mrs Groves reading about on this blog.

So, I am pretty much all packed and ready to go...

One Metallica T-shirt for the whole weekend: Check

Every Metallica, Lamb of God and Mastodon song on my i-Pod: Check

One sleeping bag: Check

One bottle of home made Vanilla Vodka: Check

One family size tub of extra strength Tylenol: Check

Well, thats me all packed then...see ya!

MEGA update!

Well, we are back from London and are trying to recover as best we can.

As mush as we like going to London, we are always running around seeing people which can take it out of you. Plus we had to pick up our WEDDING RINGS! and everybody wanted to see us before the wedding.

D-day is August 8th and there is not really much time left to get everything done. But we did manage to slip in another family get together which went well and we (by this I mean Fee) got lots of Wedding gifts....even after we had asked people to donate to Cancer Research instead of buying gifts.

But all in all it was a productive trip that involved a lot of eating and shopping....

One of the many meals we went out for, this time with Fee's Mum (center) and one of her many Aunts and Uncles.

Mmmm new toy. Now that our Sony cam is not working we needed a new little digi cam. We went for the new 12mpx Cannon Ixus in Black.

Got a an extra shirt for the wedding from my good buddy 'Fabio' at PRADA...I wish I was kidding.

Mrs Lee wanted to buy me a belt as a pre wedding gift, this is some sort of Chinese tradition. I have never got a belt that came in its own bag before.

It's a very cool looking number with a Matt-Black buckle.

Talking of bags, I got a really nice pair of shots for the Honeymoon. But you cant see them yet, you need a pic of me in them with my great pins. :)

As always, we grabbed a few books to add to the collection.

When we got home we found a marriage license waiting for us in the post. :)

We did pick up more stuff but we have had to post some of that back. So watch this space for more goodies.

London Town

I'm off to London today!!

Home of Big Ben, the Queen, chimney sweeps and magical Nannies who teach people how to enjoy life and love again......

Lots to do when we (me and Fee) are there. Picking up the wedding rings is going to be a highlight, plus there is a ton of people to catch up with.

Not sure if there will be much time for blogging, but I will do my best!

Peace out y'all!!

Pain in the neck...the good kind.

Sorry for the lack of blogging in the past few days.

I had my brace adjusted a few days ago, and because I am not due to see the Dentist again until September they REALLY tightened things up. So I have been on a diet of painkillers and scrambled eggs...Yum!

I'll gets some 'in progress' pics up soon.

Talking of pics, here are a couple of pics of my 'Fiorella' neck tattoo now that it is all healed up.

(sorry for the low rez...I took the shots on my in-built Mac cam)

This is how most people see it everyday.

There she is, I am very happy with the outcome.

4th July BBQ

Tara and Jason (the American part of the Vejle family) invited us over to Bas and Saskias (the Dutch part of the Vejle family) for a 4th July BBQ. Things looked a little scary at first when the rain started pouring out of the sky, but that soon blew over and the sun came out to play.

Bas tending to the very large amount of Chicken.

This was the real star of the show, Cephus Jr.

I had a lot of fun trying to teach him to grip things with his 'Monkey feet'

Is that not the best baby pose ever!

This guy needed saving before we left or Fee would have run over him.

Feeling hot, hot, hot

Man is it HOT!

Denmark has not had a summer this hot since I first came here in 2005. So I am keeping my finger crossed that we have great weather all over August.  :)

As nice as it is to have some sun, working in the LEGO building can get rather hot and sweaty. Combine that with meeting's and you get a designer who can't concentrate on the exciting pie cart that some marketing person is showing him...but you do get 'post-it' note doodles.

I have no idea, but apparently you need to fatten up.

He may be chubby but thats very aerodynamic.
