Me and Fee popped up to Aarhus this weekend to meet Max our photographer for the wedding.

He was a super nice guy and we all seemed on the same page style wise. He should fit right in with the whole family with his Dreadlocks and chilled out hippy swagger.  :)

Before we went to see him we popped up to the church and hotel to take some shots for him so he knew what to expect. I wont bore you with all of them........

Fee spotted this grumpy looking water troff that the Horse's next to the Hotel use. I guess not everybody is happy to see us.

Here's the Hotel grounds where we are having the reception, you just need to picture a large tent on the right where we will have the drinks and dancing.

The 'Cheesy Bridge' as me and Fee called it, not sure if we will have a photo here. But you can see the church in the background.

This is where people will be throwing rice in our faces. That one tree on the left annoys me, i'm a fan of symmetry.

Thats the place!

August 8th 2009 the date, so put it in your calender.  :)

Body modification.

So I figured it was time to update you all about my latest body modification.

Is it a piercing? a tattoo? No....it's my brace!

Some people don't agree that having a brace is a type of body mod, but I disagree. If sticking a ring in your nipple is classed as a body-mod then having teeth pulled and re-arranged in your jaw bone definitely is.

Being an English man, I have (or had) the famous British smile. combine this with a dead tooth I go from falling flat on my face while playing football as a teen and you get a rather non-hollywood look.

Its bugged me for a while and last year I did something about it and started the process of getting my brace. I had to have two wisdoms out (i'll show you them some other time) and got the brace on early in the new year.

Here are some before and now shots:

As you can see they are rather crooked.

Those four top teeth at the front really were not in good shape!

Me with my mouth full of metal....I call it Geek Chic!

You can see how much they have moved already and how dark that tooth on the right is.

I will probably have it in for at least another year before they can cap the dead tooth and give me that super white game show host smile i've been after.  :)

Tired of Avocado's?...no, just tired.

Man, what a day!

I just seems like you get less and less time to design at LEGO these days.

We (the team) had a talk about dead lines today, and boy is it going to be a tough one. We have a lot to build in a short space of time and there is the Danish summer holiday coming, so nothing can be done in July. Combine that with a wedding coming up and you have yourself a stressful few months.  Boo!  :(

I know I promised pics of my finds at the junk shop, but that will have to wait until I have the energy to pick up a Camera....sorry.

But in other news I have become addicted to Avocado's...a little random I know but I cant seem to stop eating them. I have a big pile at work and a load at home.  Can you 'OD' on light green tasty mush?  Mmmmmmmm.

Nom!

An wonderful load of crap.

What a great day this Sunday has been.

My buddy Joakim found this random place thats not far from Vejle and sells LOADS of cool old second hand stuff, and because me and Fee love junk we decided to go have a look.

A few of us jumped into our cars and had a drive down there and was amazed at the place. Its basically a few barns full of stuff, but only the 'nik-naks' part was open today. Even so, we all had a great time looking though all the old treasure that once belong to other people.

As you can see from the pics, this place was rather big a packed full of goodness!

Fee and Lami looking for treasure!

We round some GREAT stuff, but i'm far too tired to take pics and post tonight. I'll get some pics up tomorrow of our star finds.

We did find a bag of old LEGO that had some rear bricks in but the old lady got a little pissed at me and would not sell it too me. She thought there was two bags of LEGO originally and that I had put it all into one bag to get it cheaper! :(

So no LEGO for me, but the other finds more than make up for it.  :)

Neon goodness.

Vejle high street looks like most Danish high streets, nothing too exciting.......in my opinon anyway. However a little while ago I came across this great picture of the hight street in all its retro, neon glory.

Not very eco friendly but cool none the less.

I don't know when this was taken, but the hight steet looked waaay cooler then!  :)

Wow! He can read!

Yes it's true, I can read!

Sometimes I even read those books that don't have pictures in them! Amazing I know, but you just cant beat a good book. So I figured I would let you know what I have been reading and what I made of it.

I just finished 'The Forever War" by Joe Haldeman.

Looks like a Jehovah's witnesses book if you ask me.

Ok, to sum up the story without ruining it for you the basic outline is this.

Man (as in the Human Race) goes into space and finds worm-holes that can transport you all over the universe, we then start to explore space. Once our story teller gets into space they meet Aliens and a big war kicks off, to fight this war the smartest young people on earth are drafted to fight. Lets face it, if your bouncing around in worm holes and flying in space you have to be a little smarter that your normal 'grunt'.

However, when you go thought the worm-holes time is jumps around. The soldiers go off for a year (at least for them) but when they come home 25 years has gone by and home is a very different place. So every time they head off to fight, they lose loved ones and the world changes beyond their wildest dreams.... hence the forever war!

It was a good read, but it was a rather short book for a 'forever war'. It felt like it needed more than was there and I felt it would have read beter if it was done in the form or a solider's diary....because thats what it felt like I was reading.

I would recommend it but it was not the best book I have ever read.

Enjoy....or dont.

All the the gear, no idea.

So, if I haven't mentioned before me and Fee have a Nikon D90 which is a great Camera.

However it's a little more advanced than we need it to be (we would be happy with Nikon A01 if truth be told) but we picked it up in Hong Kong where it was mega cheap and Fees mum wanted to help out towards her birthday present, so now two amateurs are in possession of a semi-pro camera. Yay consumerism!

Good thing is that Fee's Fisheye fits on the lens so you can have some Fish eye fun at high resolution. I also found that if you get it focus just right, you get a nice vinyetting effect.  :)

Heres Fee pretending to work while tagging people on 'Crackbook'

Ghost Fee! WoOoOoOoO!

Great set of Pins!

Lean, mean, cleaning machine!

Hello there, been a few days.....sorry.

But you will be glad to know that Fee and me (mainly Fee) have been very productive!

We have booked tickets for our Honeymoon (Tokyo & Thailand) and got an amazing hotel booked for Thailand, but more about that some other time. :)

Fee (via a friend) found a cool band who might be able to play at the wedding AND she found a cool photographer, she's like a wedding planning machine at the moment!

So, as a little treat we popped out for some Thai food and went to see 'Watchmen', which was very cool. Comic book to movie projects normally end up being a car crash but this was rather good and very true to the book, I recommend.

Even tho we were off work today there was no lazying around, we have been Spring cleaning.....and I MEAN cleaning! Hoovering everything, moping the floors, dusting hard to reach areas, washing the windows inside and out, you name it we did it..... and we still have the reading area and guest room to do! But thats for tomorrow, i'm done for today.

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Easter stinks!

Definitely not a match made in Heaven!

Ahhh Easter in Denmark.

This is a great time of year, you get some time off work, there's chocolate eggs everywhere and the sun is staring to shine. However, this also coincides with the time of year that the local farmers spread manure all over there fields!

The pungent smell of Cow faeces wafting in the air kind of puts you off your Chocolate Eggs a little. :/

Happy Easter!

Planning Japan and revisiting China.

As I may have mentioned before me and Fee are planing to stop off in Japan on our way to Thailand as part off our Honeymoon trip. While looking on the net for cool places to go and things to see I started having flash backs of out trip to China.

We had a great time there visiting Fee's parents and we did some amazing stuff. We stayed in China with her 'Mama & Papa', got to visited Hong Kong during a typhoon and flew to Beijing. Plus we did all this while eating our own weight in dumplings along the way. But let me tell you something, being a tattooed white guy in China sure makes you stand out! People were grabbing my arm to see if the pictures would rub off, rather odd but I got kind of use to being looked at like an alien.

It made me wonder if people would react in the same way while in Tokyo, and after seeing what some of the kids over there are wearing......the answer is a firm NO! Haha

While in China we took LOADS of pictures, but here are a few random ones out of the 200. Enjoy!

Some cool street art on the side of a restaurant, went up the whole side of the building but it was hard to get a good shot from across the street.

This is Art.....not just a big gross looking pig thing.

You cant go to China without dropping in to say hi the Bruce Lee.

Great piece of wall art on the entrance to a shop at '798' which is a huge collection of galleries at an old industrial estate. With well over 200 galleries, its well worth a visit..... if you have 3 days to kill.

Fee posing on this 'Wall' in China everybody goes on about.

Mr Mao!

I don't pee in anything below a 3 star, true story.

Man-flu and hunger.

Mmmmmm or Ewwwwww....you decide.

Been a few days since I blogged but I was suffering the from Man-flu. Its like regular flu (or Girl flu as I call it) but much worse. It renders any man useless and we have to spend two days in bed, but you will glad to know I made a full recovery thanks to Fee's Chicken Noodle soup.

Mmmmmm soup.

Sorry but i'm really hungry at the moment, hence the talk of food and the lovely picture of the Airplane food me and Fee enjoyed while flying from HK to Beijing. Yes, it was as bad as it looked........and for some reason I'm not so hungry anymore.
