Summer house in winter...

Ok, you will have to wait for the full Xmas update but for now you can have a look at the summer house Fee has rented for my upcoming birthday. Some friends of ours are coming to join us for a little party on new years eve. :)

This is the main room, big and cosy.

Thats a good thing because its still VERY cold outside.

We have a pool a Jacuzzi and even a sunna!

Cool little games room with pool, table football and some ping-pong.

Too much of everything....

We made it too London in one piece, there were a few delays and its still rather cold here but we made it. Doing lots of typical Xmas stuff like eating and drinking far too much, looking forward to getting back to DK now and relaxing with Mrs Groves.

Happy Xmas!

I know this story...

Have any of you seen TRON Legacy yet? I went to see it Friday night with some of the work gang and really liked it. It is very much a boys film but it was not an over the top, testosterone fueled film.

However I did notice a strong Christian/Bible connection going on within the film. I don't want to spoil the film plot incase you want to go see it, but when you do see it let me know if you spot the same connection with the characters of this film and the worlds best selling book.

Her character was not as cheesy as I was excepting which was a good this, but you are going to see a LOT of bad/amazing copies of her look.

"The Creator"

The sound track was great, i've not brought a movie score in a long time but I will definatly pick this one up.

A life saver...

Saturday did not start that well because I had to get up at 6am to catch a bus to work. It was very cold and very snowy out so I was not in the best of moods. I had to go to work because I was signed up to do a First Aid course. I have to do it as part of my driving lessons, its a good thing but not at 6am on a very cold day. I perked up a little once I got some food from the bakery and had a cup of tea.

I needed to be focused because the whole day (the course was from 9am til 4pm) was going to be in Danish. I got most of what he was saying but it was hard going having to stay focused for that long ..... but I survived.

I learnt CPR and what to in bad situations like car crash's, not the most happy of topics but good to know. I would recommend you all do one, it was surprising how much i didn't NOT know.

Some of bandage wrapping skills, there is actually a STONE under that which is used to add extra pressure to a deep wound to help stop bleeding.

At the end I got a certificate and a little book with all the topics we studied.
Lets hope I never have to put this in to practice.

LIGHT CYCLES!!!!!

Off to see the new TRON LEGACY film with some of the LEGO boys tonight.
Geeks night out!

I'm a fan of the original, what self respecting nerd wouldn't be! It has everything, simple 3D animation, light up frisbees and LIGHT CYCLES! So i'm hoping tonight's film will be cool...

but it wont be as cool as this guy.

Mmmmm, soup...

As it gets colder the amount of soup i make gets bigger. Been playing around with a few concoctions of late....

I turned Onion, Garlic and Jerusalem Artichokes in to....

..this! Creamy Jerusalem Artichokes soup with yummy Cod fish. You cant really see the Cod but it is in there. You simply pop it in while the soup is reduction and it cook nicely. :)

I see French people!

Last night we were hanging out with the 'Frenchies' in Vejle and being treated to a tasty Raclette. This is where you take cold cuts, cheese, potatos and heat it all up with a hot plate... yummy! Apparently this is the kind of thing you would have after sking and as its cold here it seemed like a good time to have one.

"Oo la la, champagne!"

Little Adrian seemed rather keen to get hold of his dad's glass.

Sorry to if you are a vegetarian but this was a good collection of cuts.

So this is what you pretty much start with, I also added some new potatos, boiled eggs and some nice bread.

There was lots of good food, wine and people.

So you get this metal spoon that you put some cheese and meat into then pop it under the heater. Once hot and melted you pour it over your potatos. :P

The gang was VERY full after all that good food.
As you can see all the plates were clean.

But there was also desert!
Ice cream with berries and melted dark chocolate.

Today's breakfast.

Some tasty eggy bread and tea. :)

Last Friday...not this Friday...

I am all alone tonight as the wife is out at her company xmas party. So i'm chilling out tonight, doing some LEGO related work for a friend, surfing the net and I may even shoot some zombies in the face via the PS3....lets see.

Figured I should get some pics up from last weekend before this weekend is over with. So last Friday we went over to Sven & Lizzy's place for dinner as they had a buddy over from Germany. Going there is always fun because we get to play with their little girl Amilie .

I have decided that she will be a rock/metal drummer, here she is having her first lesson.

Lizzy knocked up some little home made cookies, warm and tasty.

Sadly I didn't take any pics of the tasty free range Chicken that her Dad gave her from their very own farm. However we were back at their place the next night for a little German xmas party... something to do with St Nikholas.

Mr & Mrs Groves.

Turns out Amelie only hangs out with me because i'm her Orange peeling bitch.

"Peel this for me monkey boy"

Dear Santa...

It will soon be xmas and not long after that it will be my birthday (31st Dec if your were interested).... and best of all it will be my big 30! So what is this mature adult wishing Santa and loved ones will bring him? GAMES!! PEW PEW!

*If your not a game geek then you should come back some other time, I won't be offended. :P

I loved Fallout 3 so i'm hoping New Vegas will be just as good. I played Fallout 3 until my eyes went dry but sadly it got super buggy and started to crash all the time. After some time I had to admit defeat and move on.... turns out it was a big problem with the 'Game of the year addition' which has all the extra content. I guess squeezing all that onto the disk didn't work out so well. Let's hope the new one does not suffer from this.

This looks soooo good and its made by the people who did Burnout Paradise which I am still playing and it's still a great game. Hot Pursuit is basically Cops & Robbers with super cars driving at mind bending speeds. WANT! :)

I enjoyed AC1 (a little repetitive but decent) and I loved AC2, it was a great game with a great story line that really sucked me in. People are saying this new one, Brotherhood is more of and 'add on' than a new full game but i'm sure its going to be good.

The MOD fanchise has always been a little hit&miss and this one seems to be dividing peoples opinion..... so I figure it must be worth cheaking out. Medal Of Honor is a reboot of the franchise and the first that is set in the present day. What is also good is the fact you get the classic MOD Frontline included which I really liked playing on my PS2, so thats two for one. Sweet!

You can not own a PS3 and not have COD in your collection, plus COD Black Ops has the new Zombies game.... nuff said.

Big fan of the series, played them on PS2 my PSP and I even re-played them recently when the original two were re-released on the PS3. Lots of puzzles, gore and giant monsters to defeat all while fighting the God of Olympus...God Of War 3 should be great. :)

I drank a worm...

Friday night was Mexican night with Anna & FX who are some of our French buddies who live up the hill. Being in the small town of Vejle we don't get access to good Mexican food, so Anna offered to whip up some good noms for us. We did have to walk up the very snowy and very cold hill but it was worth it.

This is their Cat who never says hello but we managed to catch a pic of him this time.
"Who are you and why are you here?"

It was a mega tasty chicken wrap with beans and salad.
I had two...

A yummy desert of ice cream, chocolate and fruit.

So it turns out that FX is a big pen collector.... as is Fee. So they got all geeky and started looking at some of his vast collection. Apparently this was just ONE of a few box's he has, and at one point a metal lock box even made an appearance with his most prized pen inside! There was a Diamond in the pen so he can be forgiven for locking it away.

"Oooo! look, look a Green one"

By this point we had all drank a good amount of booze and were all rather merry, so drinking some shots of a "mutant tequila offspring" seemed like a good idea. It even had the worm in it...... and guess who was lucky enougth to get the worm.

There it is... looks good don't it?

Three brave faces.

Down the hatch!

As you can see, we were loving it.

I think my face says it all....

Let us party as if it was 1899!

So Movember is over for another year and me and the guys at work (The LEGO MO BROS) raised lots of cash for Men's cancer research. If you have not donated yet it's never too late!

Its always fun and a bit silly so i'm sure we will be doing it next year.

So this was my oh-so-manly 'lumber-jack' look.....i'm not pissed off, that's just my relaxed face.

...and this is my 'turn of the century bare knuckle boxer' look. I kind of like it so its going to stay till the end of the weekend.
