Tarifa pt4

Hello peeps!

Sorry this last post has taken a while, had a busy weekend and also managed to give myself some food poisoning. :/

However I am not one to bang on about the sad stuff, so here are some more sunny pics from Spain. This is the last installment.... so enjoy!

Winne's boyfriend (Jude) was flying into Gibraltar and we offered to give her a lift to the airport so we could surprise him. This was our car for the holiday.

I preferred the back view to this car, it was a nice drive but a little sluggish uphill.

Talking of cars, once we found the airport (why is it hidden?) we parked up and saw this beauty. It had MANY layer of dust and many penises drawn on it.

"Welcome to the Rock......of Gibraltar"
Oh, and to get there you have to walk across an active runway! Aghhhhhhh!

Thats a big claim!
As I side note, we found Gibraltar to be a VERY strange place. It was like going to 'England Town' at Disney or something.

Enjoying some sun on our last day on Winne's roof.

On our last day the sun was out in full force, I was in it for about 15min and went pink. :/

Fee got a few more freckles but she does enjoy the sun.

Hippy three eyed cat.

There was a Carnival that day and all the kids were dressed up for a parade though town. Seemed like this little fairy was partied out.

Of coarse we got in the party mood in the everning and got dressed up. I went as a cowboy and ray went as.... well.....as Ray-mona.

The whole gang: L/R
Fee (Little Indian) Me (Cowboy) Ray (Ray-mona) Winnie (Hip-hop fairy) Jude (Sun God)

Before we headed out we had to play Ray and Winnies favorite game:
Tipping rain water out of the sofa on the roof terrace.

The whole town was out and in the party mood, we even bumped into a gang of singing Pinocchios.... they were rather good.

Cute little Devil Girl.

You know when you've been photobombed when....

Alas we could not stay for the whole party as we had a crappy Rynair flight back at 6am, so we had to leave in good time to drop the car off and get to the airport. All in all we had a great time and it was great to catch up with Winnie. It's crazy to think we were in Spain, Marocco and Gibraltar all with the space of a few days.

Tarifa pt3

As we had the hire car we decided to take a little drive to Seville for the afternoon, the weather was nice and we always have fun on our little car trips.

The Tom-Tom guiding us through the sunny open roads of spain. I even did a big of driving!

Fee was happy to be in pretty Seville.

This was a University right in the center of the city, i'm guessing its like a Spanish Hogwarts.

The buildings & churches were amazingly detailed.

There were loads of Orange trees just lining the streets. I'm guessing everyone in Spain doesn't have a vitamin C deficiency.

Once we got back to Tarifa we met up with Winnie and Ray for dinner, we went to this tiny little Tapas place that did amazing food.

We (Fee & Winnie mainly) ate loads and were the last to leave. The guy was super nice and gave us a nice glass of sweet wine before we left.

Tarifa pt2

Our second day in Tarifa was a relaxed one, the morning was a little wet so we got up late had some breakfast and watched a movie..... but then the sun came out and we went for a walk.

The photo spam continues....

Tarifa is full of cute little streets.

I am enjoying myself, honest. I just look rather 'annoyed' when my face is relaxed.

This one goes out to Sam! ;)

...

We later met up with Winnie and had some tasty Tapas, food turned out to be a large focal point to our trip!

We meet a Donkey and a Cow on our little walks, sadly we had no treats to give him.

One night we cooked for Winnie and Ray (her flat mate)..... I don't like being 'papped' while i'm creating in the kitchen.

She was all smiles at first, but 10 seconds after cutting that Onion she was crying like a baby.

Tarifa pt1

Hello people of the internet! How have you been? I'm sure you have missed me as much as i've missed you. We are back from our trip too Tarifa and we had a great time, we had great food, some sun and got to travel around a fair bit.

So are you ready for some photo spam? because there are lots, so here we go!

This was the first shop we saw when we arrived at the airport.... sadly it did not sell the 'goods' we assumed it would.

This was the entrance to our little apartment, the WHOLE place was covered in shells and tiles, turned out a local artist also lived at the apartments and did it all himself.

Once we got sorted we went out for a walk with Winnie (our friend who we went to visit) and got to know the town. Not sure what Winnie is demonstrating here.... walking maybe?

A part of the Church can be spotted from Winnie's roof top.

Tarifa was not a big town but it had lots of cute and small winding roads, took a day or two to find our way around without getting lost but we got there in the end.

Tarifa is the most Southern point in Europe, so you see Africa on a clear day.... and there it is!

Some cool abandoned houses by the shore line.

...

The local Church in town was very beautiful.

Fee captured a nice shot of us while we were out and about.

We had grand plans of hitting the bars and clubs that are dotted around the town (its a hot spot for wind surfers) but after a 3 hour flight, a drive down the coast, walking around town and eating good feed we were DONE. My eyes were rolling around in my head so we had to call it a night but our first day was great. :)

Stay tuned for more soon!

"Where you off to this time?'

This Saturday me and Fee are off to Tarifa!

It's in Spain and is the most Southern part of Europe, we have a good friend (Winnie) who is teaching English over there, so we figured it was a good excuse to go visit. Sadly the weather is not looking that great at the moment but anything has to be better than the icy cold winds we have here in DK! Will Winter EVER end?

There it is, apparently you can see Morocco on a clear day.

Looking forward to a nice little break to re-charge the batteries, so keep your finger crossed that we at least get a little bit of sun. :)

Tarifa is popular with wind surfers.... not that I will be doing ANYTHING that active!

"Pedestrians are worth and extra 10 points!"

This weekend has been rather good if not a little hectic as we have been testing my new driving skills. We celebrated on Friday with a super nice meal and a glass or two of 'fizz'.

We went on a little road trip Saturday just to give the new car a long test drive and to make sure I don't forget all the stuff I have learnt over the past few months. Even went to see some friends we have not seen in a while which was nice.

The driving has been going well, just need to keep practicing and gaining more confidence. I still need to use all my brain faculties when driving through a busy town but I guess I will become more relaxed over time. Poor Fee is not used to me being in the driving seat (of a brand new car!) and gets a little 'frightened' from time to time. :P

There she be!
We have called her 'Peggy'

This is my 'must not run over pedestrians' concentration face.

I PASSED!

Yesterday I passed my driving test AND we picked up our new car! We are planing a little road trip for Saturday so i'll get some pics up soon. :)

I plan to be doing some gnarly stunts like this soon.

"So does come it with wheels?"

NEWS FLASH: WE HAVE A NEW CAR!

We have traded in our plucky Peugeot 206 for a brand new...... wait for it...... Peugeot 206 +.

Ok, not a dramatic change I know but it was time for an upgrade and Pedro (thats what we called our car, he had one of those tow bars so it kind of look like a 'tail') was starting to show his age. Instead of throwing loads of cash into repairs we traded up for a brand new model, and with Fee using her great bargaining skill's we got a decent deal.

If all goes to plan we can pick HER up tomorrow or Friday. Watch this space for photos (still trying to convince Fee to let me shoot some photos of her on the bonnet in her bikini) and plans for a Denmark road trip. :)

Goodbye Pedro, thank you for all the good times and hard work.
You will be missed. (sniff!)

This is the new upgraded model, just imagine in it BLACK!
