Sven's 30th Birthday BBQ

Today the sun was shinning and we jumped in the car and headed off down to Billund to surprise Sven with his 30th birthday gift. We all chipped in and got him a super nice WEBER BBQ grill.... so he could cook for us! He had no idea we where were coming, so it was a good surprise.

He was rather happy when he saw his surprise gift in the back garden.

We also got to meet 'the twins' for the first time today.

I don't think that toy is age appropriate girls.

The kids were busting out some moves in the garden.

Sven found a birds nest in his wood shed, he is hoping the mother comes back.

We want one for our apartment.

Spring is here...

Went for a nice walk in the Deer park after out Coffee & Eggs. The Sun is out and we are hoping it stays this way until winter!

Where to begin?

Ok, so I have been messing around with some home recording (fills the void of not being in a band) but i've not been getting great guitar results. The Bass Guitar sounds good but my 'normal' Guitar sounds like mud when it runs though a Bass rig.

So I got myself the Line6 POD 2.0

It's a little gizmo that hooks to your computer and can emulated the sounds of popular Guitar Amps and Cabs (like Marshall and Peavy). I'm hoping this will make things sound a little more 'rocking' on the recordings.

Also took the opportunity to get some new strings for the Bass. This is my Custom gauge incase you want to by me some strings in the future.

Also got my eye on this little baby, my current FX unit is about 15 years old now is and due for an upgrade..... maybe next payday.

The reason I say "next payday" is because I have just ordered my iPad 2. It won't be shipping for a few weeks but i'm already counting the days. I'm looking forward to just using the laptop for my music recording and other photo editing related stuff.... the more 'hard core' jobs. Then the iPad can be for surfing, presentations and other fun stuff.

Oh, and I got the white one.

....and the good news just keeps on coming this week because tonight I am going to see the mighty Cancer Bats!!! If you don't know them, then you should.

Friday night was party night!

Fee, Me and some of the Vejle gang got our passports out and headed up to our sister town of Kolding to see our buddy Will for his birthday. It was a fun night, good to catch up with some people we have not see in a long time and shuffle awkwardly on the dance floor to some Dub-Step.

The last time we went to Kolding I wore my Braces, so this time I stepped it up a notch and threw on a Bow Tie!

After a late breakfast and a big cup of Tea we went to help our French friends move apartments. There was a big group of us so it only took a few runs to get it all done..... luckily.

This is their new home right on the edge of the woods.

The teeth strike again!

Had to pop home a little early today, the small wire they put on the back of my teeth after they took the brace out snapped.

Had to pop into the dentist for a quick repair job. All is fine now.

Fed up with emails...

Jeez what a week!

So it turns out my Hotmail was either 'hacked' or there was some mole-ware because people were getting mails from me directing the to buy Viagra. :/

I have been jumping though hoops for a few days now trying to get it back, and at one point (after reading some forums with people who had the same issue and could not get their account back) I gave up. So I signed my self up to Gmail and started the task of updating blogs and anything else tht used that email..... it was a pain.

So what happens today? I get an email from Hotmail with a link to recover my account! Great news, but now I have two email addresses and i'm not sure what to do now. Change everything back to hotmail? or transfer it all over to Gmail? :/

I think I will have to really 'clean house' on the Hotmail and then decide what to do with the Gmail...... however on the up side I have a nice new hair cut thanks to Fee. :)

A new Sushi place opened up in Vejle this week.... And it's rather good!!!

There was another place in town but it's not great, so to finally have a half decent place to get Sushi rocks!

So the brace is out and gone for good, still a little bit of work to do on them but I am rather happy with the result...... I do however have a pounding headache thanks to all the pulling and buffing of my teeth. :B

Today we popped over to see our German friends who have just moved to Billund. They have a great new house and they are super excited to be out of the little apartment they had in Vejle.

So we had a tour of the house, some coffee, some home-made cake and played in the garden...... it was a nice Sunday. :)
