The great big Xmas post...

Hello people of the internet! How have you been? I hope you had and are having a nice Xmas vacation. Its been rather nice here in DK for the Groves household. Relaxing, eating, drinking and just having a nice time...... and it all began with Brunch!

We popped out on the 23th for Brunch with our friend Christine before she headed off to see her family. We went to a cute local place and had this nice but very filling plate of goodness.

After Brunch we headed off to get our Xmas tree. Fee was very excited and had lots of fun decorating it AND the rest of the apartment.

On the night of the 24th we were invited over to spend the evening with our German friends Sven, Lizzy and their cute little girl Amelie. Just like the Danes the Germans do their gift giving on the 24th (Crazy people!) so we got to winess and take part in some fun german Xmas traditions.

Amelie very much liked the tree and spent a lot of time with Fee pointing and naming all the things that were on the tree.

She could see herself in the decorations.... this resulted in hours of fun.

Sven cooked up some home made schnitzel with potato salad.
It was very good!

It was a great night but we made sure not to over do it as we needed to be up early for our Xmas morning gift giving and dinner preparations as the Germans and one Romanian were joining us for dinner that night.

I got a whole box of Bow ties from the in laws which was nice.
So i'm excited to wear those in the new year.

Fee got me a super, super nice new leather bag for work.

Fee made the table look great for Xmas dinner by hand making some decorations.

I didn't take many photos on the day as we were busy cooking and having fun, but I did get a good shot of my home made mince pie snails. :)

Well, i'm off to relax in front of the open fire.
MERRY XMAS!

Summer house vacation....pt2

Food!

During our little anniversary break we ate lots of gooood food between all the relaxing and napping. The BBQ defiantly earnt its keep over the week thats for sure!

Say hello to Mr meat face!

I was happy to be eating Mr meat face.... he was tasty.

Some mornings we would whip up some pancakes with fruit and jam..... I got a little addicted too that Apricot jam.

Sadly my PS3 died while we were at the summer house.... which sucked as movies and games were part of our relaxing schedule. There was no option but to go pick up a new PS3 Slim.

On the night on our anniversary we decided to fire up the BBQ....again.

Sweet peppers with Garlic and cracked black pepper.

Fire will make you tasty!

We got some 'Jomfru hummer' and marinaded them in a nice garlic and pesto butter. They were pretty goooooood.

Fee was very excited about the upcoming meal..... and being married to me of course!

Anniversary gifts!
Fee got me a cool new bow tie and I picked up the first piece of our Royal Copenhagen collection.

You cant have an anniversary and not have some fizz!

The first of many cakes to be sliced upon our new cake stand.
