It wont last long...

Just like the rest of the world we are trying to undo all the damage we did to our bodies over the Xmas period. So we are just trying to eat a little better and address the balance more in our favour.

So on the menu last night we had Chickpea, Spinach & Shitake mushroom patties with Guacamole and a Tabulae salad. Very nom indeed!

You cant beat home made!

I even managed to drag the wife to the gym for the first time this year (she was not a happy Bunnie), it was hard going but felt good to dust off the cobwebs. Feeling rather 'pooped' now but in a good way......lets see how long it take's before we crack and stuff our face's with chocolate & pop!

Cleaning house.

Today has been a very productive day indeed, and it was one of those unplanned super productive days that just sort of happens. I like those.

We got up and had a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast and then donated to the to the Red Cross just to do our little bit to help the people of Haiti. We then got to cleaning up the apartment which evolved into a mega clean up that included (among other things) towel bleaching and sorting out our wardrobes!

My pile at the half way point.

Now THAT's the wardrobe of a man with OCD.

Managed to fill three whole bags that are destined for the cloths bank.

So tonight we are going to relax, make some chickpea based food with some nice side dishes and watch District 9. We also plan to go to the gym tomorrow for the first time in the new year...watch this space!

Ps.

I was attacked by a hot water bottle last night and burnt my hand.

The pink bits are a little sensitive but i'll live.

Pain in the tooth...

As mentioned in the last post I went to the Dentist yesterday to get my brace adjusted and fixed. However all did not go to plan, later that night the super tight tention that I feel on the front teeth after an adjustment had suddenly gone? Turns out the clip had broke away from the tooth...AGAIN!!

So not only was I in a lot of pain from from all the adjustments that resulted in me not getting any sleep, but I had to go back and get it fixed today.

This is how it should look.

This is how it should NOT look.

Well I am back to normal now, with a mouth full of rubber bands, metal and pain. The pain will ease up over the next few days but its been rather bad this time. :(

All back to normal...if you can call it that.

Thats enough bad news for today, how about some good news? I finally get the package my Dad sent from the UK. It was held up and took a few phone calls to sort out but we have it now. It had some cool gifts from the family for me and Fee, I got a nice set of cufflinks, a cool photo frame with an old pic of me and my bro and a tattoo book. Fee got some 'girly stuff' and a nice brooch.

How did they know?

Had to pick up a DVD for work and could no resist
getting this....not seen it yet so don't tell me the ending.

Also got a cool new pair of trainers from the wife. :)

Up's and down's I guess.

It's Tuesday......I cant think of a good title.

It's Tuesday and it's still VERY cold out...so what better way to warm up than to whip up some Sushi!! Not had some good Sushi or fish in a good while, so tonight was a good meal. Nom Nom!

A picture of the the Japanese goodness from the wife's iPhone.

In other news, I finally got round to getting up 'Foxy Proxy' which lets us watch shows online from British broadcasters. We cant watch the BBC or other UK based channels online in Denmark because of licencing laws, so you have to trick the website into thinking your in the UK. How your ask? With Foxy Proxy thats how!

For a small fee you get to use a UK server that sends all the TV goodness over to DK without the UK website knowing, take that TV licence!

We can now watch all that BBC iPlayer has to offer.

We can also watch stuff from ITV (another UK broadcaster) and yes
that is a LEGO commercial. :)

In Tattoo news, all is going well. It's healing great with very little to no swelling or soreness, very easy so far. Feels awesome to have it finished and below is the 'official' pics from Judd's site.

I am off to the Dentist tomorrow, so there may be a geeky tooth shoot tomorrow if I am not in a bucket load of pain. :/

Peace out y'all!

All done!!!!

"Where have you been?!" I hear you cry.

Well its been the first full week back at work and my body clock is all over the place, so I have been very tired while trying to get back into the swing of work and not really been up to the task of blogging. Well i'm here to make up for it!

This weekend Fee took me to Copenhagen as a birthday present and to celebrate our 11th year anniversery (which was on the 31st Dec) and as an added bonus it was also the weekend I was going to get my sleeve finished.

We got the train up on Friday afternoon, dropped our bags off and had a nice everning and dinner date. We had a little walk around Cph before dinner which sounded like a good idea at the time, but the -7 weather soon made us run for a pre-dinner hot chocolate.

Tivoli was not open (Boo!) so here's a blurry pic to make up for it.

Just to get out of the cold we jumped on the Copenhagen wheel....the pics
blurry because I was shivering!

The view from the wheel...I think Tivoli needs more lights.

Mrs Groves looking shifty (but warm) on the wheel.

So on Saturday morning we had a nice Breakfast (which helped with the hang over) at the hotel and then went our separate ways. I went off the studio for my ink session and Fee went off to hit the sales...hard! She did very well and got some great deals for both me and her, thanks babe :) As for me, I was in for a full day of 'Cherry Blossom madness' at the hands of Judd Ripley. On arrival we got straight to it and didn't stop till the work was done.

This is the view I normally have of the whole process.

Poor Judd started to go a little crazy
after 5+ hours of Cherry Blossoms.

So after 5 ink sessions, many trains and a few snow blizzards my tattoo is finely done and it's looking AMAZING!...even if I do say so myself. I have had the idea for this sleeve in my head for a long time now and Judd has done a great job in bringing it to life.

Classic Japanese style Kabuki sleeve....love it!

Judd getting some snaps on his new D90 once we were done.

Now the blossoms are done it really feels like a 'whole' piece.

So I just want to say a big thanks to the super cool 'Sailors Grave' crew, its a great studio with great people who made me feel very welcome as well as giving me a great tattoo. If your in the market for an amazing tattoo go look them up.

Dadan, Judd, Oscar, Marija

There is plenty of 'canvas' left, so i'm sure i'll be seeing them in the future. :)

LEGO Toy Story 2010

The start of a new year means only one thing....NEW SETS!

The sets have been out in some shops for a while (they just could not wait till January) and on some fan sites, but I like to wait until they are up on the official LEGO site before I talk about them.

I have 3 sets out for Toy Story 2010, so if you like LEGO or just love Toy Story then get your hands on them. :)

I have some cool pics up on Coroflot.com

I say "Twenty-Ten" because it's more futuristic.

Hello peeps! how are the first few days of 20-10 treating you?

All is well in the Groves household, we have been relaxing and enjoying doing nothing for the past few days. Sadly, me and Fee have 'back to school blues' as its the first day back at work tomorrow (4th)....Booooo!

So just to cheer me up, here are few pics from the new years party we went too in Kolding that I was to lazy to put up 3 days ago. :P

Everybody was asked to bring a dish and we
ended up with a very nice selection of food indeed.

Awww, me and my pretty wife.
Hmmmm, I think I rather suit waist coats.

Winnie (basically my sister-in-law) came over for new years,
thats her in the middle with me and Cynnie.

Will and Benedicta's tree, very big and very real.

Fee and Winnie trying to show the girls
the 'flash mob dance'....don't ask!

Pew pew! Fireworks at midnight.

Me and the wife celebrating not only new years,
but my 29th Birthday AND our 11th year together.....Yay!

Will wanted to put his insurance to the test.

Apparently you need to 'jump into' the new year....from the sofa.

Luckily nobody was hurt.

You know it!
