The big three one...

So on the 31st of January I turned the grand old age of 31..... plus there was some sort of 'new years' thing going on at the same time. I cant say a feel different or wiser in anyway, so if your here for some insightful words then you've come to the wrong blog. :P

The Mrs and me all dressed up for the New years party at 'Lami Towers'
Out friend Lami lives in a tall apartment block that has a great view of the town, so its always good for viewing the fireworks at midnight.

I whipped up a Green Tea cheese cake just for the fun of it.
The Mrs said it was the BEST so far.

I lied.....

Ok, so in my last post I said nothing had been happening while Fee was away and there was not much to show you..... well that was a bit of a lie. Sorry I fibbed to you but I had to insure Fee did not find out what I was up too. Why all the lie's you ask? because I had got this little gift for her.......

That is a Roland digital Piano and its pretty sweet right? Fee donated her previous Piano to her old school when we left the UK and I have been planning to get a new one for her for some time now.

There was lots of planning involved and sneaking off to see Pianos over the past few months and a few friends had to get involved with the lie but it all came together in the end. There was an issue with getting the Piano delivered..... basically they couldn't. So in the end I had to hire a rather large car to go pick it up in Arhus and rope my pal Adrian into helping me get it up into the appartment.

Not huge I know but this is the biggest thing I have ever driven to date.... it was like driving a boat! Haha

Fee was rather surprised when she arrived home to find it sitting there waiting for her, and I have to say its been nice hearing her play again. Having music drift through the apartment is rather nice and makes me smile. She was a little rusty at first but it all seems to be coming back to her rather fast. So maybe a Danish tour will be in order soon... :)

I got to play a little while Fee was away, but Bass can get rather boring when you are on your own..... really miss playing in a band.

Oh, in cooking news I tried something new in the never ending quest to improve my cheesecake. I attempted a....... wait for it........ 'PEANUT BUTTER' cheesecake and it was rather good. It was a thank you for some of the guys at work for helping out on my project for a few days.

It's much more 'gooey' than your standard cheesecake but that's Peanut butter for you.
Roof of your mouth goodness.

...... I also made sure to make a mini one for Fee.

The Birthday of Mrs Groves....

The 22nd was Fee's Birthday and we have been eating Cheesecake for three days straight..... not that I am complaining but I think my Liver and waist line are about to give up on me!

You cant have a Birthday without Flowers and gifts!

Fee was off to the Spa with a friend so we had a light breakfast. I did a posh twist on Egg's & Bacon.

On her Return I had made a super tasty Cheesecake with Strawberries and Jam.

This one turned out pretty good I have to say, just look at the layers!

That night we went out for dinner at a nice Italian place in town. Tasted great but we had not eaten that much Pasta in a long time so we were VERY full. The upside was that we did not eat all the Cheesecake that night! We were nice and shared it with some friends Friday night before going out for dinner and drinks..... yes you read that right, BEFORE DINNER! The best thing about being a grown up is eating cake whenever you want.  :P

Today we went to see Lizzy who was having her birthday today..... again we took Cheesecake.

Fee was teaching Amilie how to say animal names in English.... which was super cute. :)

They came, They saw, They ate....

This weekend we had Fee's Parents over for a little visit. It was a relaxed affair that took the form of eating some home cooked food Mama had brought over. However just o mix things up a little we popped out for a little drive on Sunday to 'Hopballe Møller'. It's a cute old farm/mill out in the countryside that has a gallery, a little shop and a rather good restaurant.

Signs and arrows are rather helpful.

A cute old Morris Minor taking a little drive through the countryside.

Fee.... not as relaxed as she would normally be in such a pretty place.

What this one?....and what this one?....and what this one?

Mama in all her regal glory.

You don't often get an 'unposed' shot of Mama and Baba.

Mama & Yan Yan

Just to mark the occasion I made some tasty Cheesecake.
We ate a lot of this. Mmmmm
