Bring on the pain!

So the past few days all have something in common....pain!

On Wednesday I went and had my brace adjusted, thats pretty normal now but they had an extra surprise for me. Turns out my bottom teeth need to be pulled in a little so my teeth don't hit each other when I bite. This can only be done by the use of rubber bands pulling my teeth around. Now this is a new and different kind of pain, I had got use to having my brace adjusted and the pain was some how familiar.....but this sucks and I don't know how long I need them in for.

Rubber band powered chewing.

Moose branded rubber bands....nothing like
the fresh taste of Moose!

So if that was not enough, on Friday I got on a train to Cph so I can get my arm inked by Judd. We made a start on the shading of the wind, we got a good 4+ hours of shading in before we called it a day. The sit was ok but I was not at my best, what with my jaw feeling like Tyson had given it a right hook. We will be doing the elbow and the dip on the next sit, so lets hope I am in god health for that!

A little sore but looking good.

We got most of the forearm done.

Stating to get a real feel for how
good this will look when done.

The ride down kind of sucked, I was proud of myself for asking for my ticket in Danish (i'm trying to use my limited Danish more) but I had to wait a good 40min in the cold. Train ride home was pretty normal....until it broke down! We had to sit in the dark for 5min, then we just sat in the middle of nowhere for 15min. We had to get off the train at some random station and get on a new one, so all in all it was a real pain in the arse and the last thing you want with a sore arm and teeth.....oh well.

"Pain pain go away, don't come back another day!"

Painful days are coming!

Just got home a little early today because I have to go to the dentist to get my brace adjusted. Its never that fun and gets rather painful, its not painful right away but slowly get more and more intense as the day goes on. So the next day is normally the most worst.....which works out well because Thrsday is when I am off too Copenhagen for my next session with Judd to work on my Japanese sleeve. So I guess I'm going to be popping painkillers like sweets by Friday!

Heres how the teeth are coming along:

Starting to look like a real set of teeth now. :)

Seen better, but things are starting to move into place.

BURN IT! BURN IT WITH FIRE!

It taste's soooooo good! sniff.

Man its been a goooood weekend....if a little emotional.

Friday night was a bt of a wash out for me as I was hit hard by the flu bug. We were going to Cyn's for some Friday drinks, I had ironed a shirt, freshened up and was all ready to go when I was hit hard by the germs.Oh well.

Saturday was much better, we had a nice breakfast and later on went to see 'UP' which was great. If you have not seen it you must go at once, any film that can make a manly man like me cry must be good right?....right?

Later that night me and Fee cooked up a storm in the kicthen, I showed her how to cook 'Creme Brulee' with a Coconut twist. While I whipped up a 'bread and Butter' pudding on the other side of the kitchen.

Stage One: Buttered bread and raisons.

Stage Two: Custard added and top sprinkled with sugar.

Stage Three: Coked and smelling great!

Obviously we don't just eat deserts, we had a nice stake with mashed potato's with a reduced red wine source for dinner. Nothing to fancy but we got the idea from our Jamie Oliver cook book. It was a nice night with good food, some good wine and a great film. We watched 'Return to Oz' on DVD, I had forgot just how good the film was.....and dark which is odd for a Disney film. Fee still cant look a 'Wheeler' in the eye.

Me in my natural habitat, just look at the spoon action!

Today (Sunday) was a bit of a lazy day, did some washing and cleaned up the house a little before we went over some wedding photos. Awwww good memories. :)

Food wise we dipped into the Jamie book again and cooked up some super yum Lamb.

Sealing in the flavor before roasting to perfection.

Always let your meat relax before carving!

Mmmmmm...Roast Lamb with potato dauphinoise, roasted sweet
red onion and wilted garlic spinach.

Just letting all that goodness go down before we try one of Fee's deserts. Man, Monday comes round way too quickly. :(

Update...

So I felt a little better on Wednesday and felt I should go into work. I felt ok'ish but I sounded like Don Corleone all day. This resulted in a lots of jokes and people telling me to go home because I sounded like crap.

Anyone seen my marbles?

However it was a productive day, I rebuilt some stuff that was calculated and got another part of my model off to be counted. So I left a little early in hopes of getting rid of this bug for good. Sadly the cold/flu/evil germs got a lot worse last night and I didn't get much sleep. Plus I sounded EVEN worse this morning. Booooo! :(

So today I rested and ate my way around the house, I was like Pac-Man all day, just eating what ever came into sight. I guess my body knows what it needs and it needed FOOD! So I'm feeling a little better but a lot fatter, must get back to the gym next week. Have to try and limit the damage that always happens at Xmass when I stuff my face with good food.....and bad food.....and everything else in between.

Nom Nom Nom!

So I'm going to drag my sorry butt into work tomorrow and hope I don't phlegm up a lung. There is some cool stuff going on this weekend that would be nice to go too. A buddy is putting on a club night in Kolding, there are some drinks in Vejle Friday night and we are going to see 'UP' on Saturday afternoon. So keep your fingers crossed the germs bugger-off!

I'm a delicate flower.

It would seem that underneath this rugged and handsome exterior is a sickly little boy who is prone to illness. I say this because when I look over my past blog posts it seems I have written a lot of post's from home while sick..... and it would seem that I have the flu, again!

I always got sick a lot when I was a kid, Tonsillitis was my illness of choice, and I would always get it A: just before a friends party B: the day before school holidays C: the day before going back to school after said holidays D: the day before 'insert any important date here'

I guess having a full day of tattooing on the Thursday, traveling back too Vejle from Copenhagen on the Friday and then going to a party till 2am+ on the Saturday can take it out of you. Even a lazy Sunday with Chicken noodle soup could not stop the germs from forming....oh well.

Tattoo wise things are healing well, getting a little itchy in spots but nothing out of the norm for tatt healing.

Looking good!

Nice little close-up.

Close up of the wife's favourite blossom.

Side note: Just had some GREAT soup that the wife made and I'm starting to feel better already. Tak skat!

Lines&Lines&Lines&Lines

Sorry for not blogging last night as promised, but after a full day under the needle I was sore and tired....so no blogging.

But here I am to make up for it....

It was a nice day in Copenhagen when I woke up, sunny and clear with blue sky, so I figured I would walk down to The Sailors Grave Tattoo studio. However I forgot that Copenhagen is THE MOST WINDY CITY IN THE WORLD! Walking into the wind all the way there (how the hell does that happen?) added at least 10min to my walk. Oh well.

Don't be fooled by the Sun, I almost lost me ears to frostbite!

Once there, me and Judd got down to the process of putting on, taking off and putting on the stencils and doodling all over my arm. Took a little while but we got there in the end, and then we were off!!!

We did the outlines for the Kabuki cards and the Blossoms first then had a nice lunch break. All went well and felt good.

After lunch (chicken sandwich if your interested) we did some more on,off,on,off stencil and drawing work on my arm for the wind background. It was a little harder going after lunch as my arm was sore from the first half and going over the same areas again is not that fun. But we got there in the end and I am very happy with the results.

There is a lot going on at the moment, but it will all start to make sense once we get some colour and shading in there, which will be in two weeks time if all goes to plan. I'll also get some better pics up soon as these were taken in a Hotel bathroom with crappy lighting.

Peace out!

Goodbye plain old left arm!

See that?

Those are my arms, see how plain looking my left arm is?

If all goes to plan it wont look so plain by Friday. I'm just getting my bag packed and ready to head off to Copenhagen where a very talented man by the name of Judd Ripley will be Tattooing my arm.

So boring....but not for long!
www.juddripley.com

Starting to get very excited about it now, I have had the idea in my head for a long time (10+ years) so I have been use to not jabbering on about it to everybody and being super excited.....but now it's actually going to happen. :D

I'm heading down to Cph tonight so I am fresh and ready to rock for the 11am start tomorrow. Last thing I want is to rush around on trains at some stupidly early hour in the morning. I'm the kind of guy who would rather get someplace an hour early than risk being 5min late (much to my wife's dismay!)....I just hate being late!! I'll also stay on the Thursday night, guessing the first sit will be a hard one and I don't want a 3 hour train ride back to Vejle with a sore arm and no energy.

So check back tomorrow night and there may be some pics!

Peace out.
