Ok, just to give you a little back story....

Tesco is a supermarket chain in the UK and it huge! They are all over the place and plan to take over the world. Denmark is next on the list.....as this film shows. :P

British nom!

So we heard though the Vejle grape-vine (thanks Tamsin!) that Super-Best was selling British and American products as some sort of special promo. I deicided to pop down after work today and see what treats could be had......and I was blown away with excitement!

This is the glitzy set up for the international section in Super Best.
Classy.

Salad Cream: Not had this in a long time...nor salad come to think of it.

Hellmann's Mayo: GIVE ME A SPOON!!!
This ones not to hard to find in DK, but it's a little hit and miss so I grab it when I can.

Heinz Beanz: add toast or baked potato....nuff said.

Ambrosia Custard: Yes I can make custard, but this is a real taste of my childhood.

Branston Pickle: You CAN NOT have a cheese sandwich without it.

Cadberys Fudge: Not something I would normally buy, guess I just got
whipped up in the buying frenzy....but still tasty. :)

Cadbery's Fruit & Nut: I would fight you to the death for this.

Tetly Tea: I'm an English man...what more do you want?!

Dont get me wrong, I'm not one of those English men who go to another country and not eat their food. I like lots of Danish food (Cake!!!!) but you can't beat a good taste of home every now and again. :)

No more wind!

After 3 long tattoo sessions with Judd the background (swirling wind) is done!!!!

As great as it looks we were both glad to get this part of the sleeve over with. We hit a lot of tricky areas today what with it going up into the armpit and all over the shoulder. I had to get myself in some odd positions so he could do his work.

Now that its done we can get on with some nice colour work. :)

Nice!

Sweet!

Awsome!...but thank god it's over. :)

The pain!....oh! the pain!

Its going to be another painful few days. :(

Today I went to the dentist to have by brace adjusted, last time I had some rubber bands put in to help give me an over bite......now I have even more! They need to widen my bite on the top, so when I go to bed I have to put 4 bands in my mouth. Thats not going to make for a great nights sleep. :/

On a side note, my dentist moved and stated her own place called 'Den Glade Smil' right round the corner from me. It all very col and new on the inside, but their shop sign could do with some jazzing up.

Looks like a piece of A4 paper tapped to the door.

Looks like Xmas is truly here, all the lights and decorations have gone up in town. I never feel ready for the Xmas but I am sooooo looking forward to a break.

Tomorrow I am off for another session with Judd in Kph, so thats another early morning train ride....while in pain...to get tattooed and be in more pain. Man, this better all be worth it.

Hear me roar!!!.....or talk.

Hello blog readers!

So fame in Japan escaped me (i will have my day!) but fame in other parts of the world is still a possibility thanks to an interview I did the other week for 'Behind the Helm'.

This is a series of interviews conducted by two LEGO Pirate fans who live in Australia and are rather active in the fan AFOL (Adult Fans Of LEGO) community. Being Classic Pirate fans they tend to interview people who have something to do with LEGO Pirates, which I do, but they also like to talk to LEGO designers, which I am.

There is an Audio file which will allow you to hear my voice, I will not be listerning to it for just that reason because like all people I hate my voice. Thankfully Izzy (one of the interviewers) took the time to type it all out.

You will have to cut and paste because I can't turn this into a link for some reason...sorry.

Updateings.

Ello peeps!!

Hope your all enjoying your weekend, i'm sure you earnt it.

Work has still been full on over the past few days, so much so I am having to go in on a Sunday just to get some building done in peace. Oh well.

In more interesting news, Movember is going well. The LEGO design team is starting to look like extras from some sort of 70's cop show. I'm tempted to put lots of cardboard box's around the place so we can have fist fights and dive into them. I'm actually getting use to the tash', kind of goes with my new hair cut.

Less hair on my head and more on my face.
I guess it all evens out somehow.

In other work related news, I got some new business cards. I chose to have the Knight and the Pirate on mine as I worked on those products lines.

Them's me boys!

At work we have a canteen, nothing amazing about that I guess, I'm assuming most of you have a canteen at work....but do they make Fish Cake? No, no, not the nice Thi style cakes you get in resturants, this is a big ass cake made from fish and prawns and covered in mayo. I had heard about this when I frst started at LEGO, its an almost mythical story around LEGO but I had never seen one before....until Friday that is.

WTF!?

Tattoo is healing well and starting to even-out a little, the fresh part was looking very black compared to the forearm. Next sit is on the 26th, so not long before the wind and shading is all done.

Loving it!

Got to blow off a little steam on Friday night, me and my buddy Mike went to see Behemoth and DevilDriver in Aarhus. Not a big amount of bands make it over to Denmark, so when a band worth seeing comes along you can bet i'll be there!

Cant remember this bands name, they were an extra band added to the bill last minute and given the task of kicking off the show...pointy guitars!

Scar Symatry....even pointyer guitars and two singers.

DevilDriver with Dez 'the man' Faffara....amazing
band and best of the night.

Behemoth, leather, corps paint and no smiles but lots
of double pedal drumming. Thats all good with me.

Little Mike Fuller....little man's had a busy day.

It just sounds wrong!

At present I am in bed unable to sleep, its been a crazy day work wise so my head is a buzz...plus I had a shower before bed which was very much needed but has woken me up a little. So what do board people do? surf the net thats what!

After catching up on all the sites and blogs I follow I decided to Google myself (it just sounds soooo wrong!) I must say its not somthing I do often but one cant help but have a peek every now and again to see where you might pop up....and pop up I did.

It seems I am sooo "trendy" I was worthy of a mention on trendhunter.com. They seemed to like my photography which is nice. :)

Its an odd feeling stumbling upon this stuff and reading about yourself and work from the view point of somebody else.

My poor ego....

Aww man, what a morning!

Ok, so November seems to be month for LEGO related interviews. I did one on Saturday for 'Behind the Helm' who are a small group of LEGO Pirate fans. It was over Skype with them in Australia and me in Denmark.... isn't the internet great?! All went well and it was a lot of fun.

Today I was meant to have an interview with a Japanese TV station about one of my products and how we involve LEGO fans in the process of the development. However.......while making a dash for the bus that was just pulling away I took a bit of a tumble. :\

I'm ok dear readers, but I did hurt my knee and knocked the wind out of myself because I fell on my ribs. I was rather embarrassing to fall over like that in front of sooooo many people, but some were nice and asked if I was ok.

So i missed the interview as I went to see the Doc who wanted me to have an Xray....at the kids day clinic. I always get sent there for some reason, it's where I go to have my jaw Xrays. I got the all clear and was just told to rest up........but no lollipop! WTF!

Oh well, could have been worse.

Thursdays post....today!

Hello dear readers and a happy weekend to you!

Ok, so here is the post I was too tired to do on Thursday. I was rather beat from my session at Judd's, so I didn't have the mental capacity to do a full post.....but now here it is!

Vejle high street in the early morn while on my way to the train station. Wet, cold, grey and full of christmas lights that were not there the day before.

Cool bit of neon at the station.

Still cold, still wet, and still grey while waiting for my train too Kph.
Yes, my life really IS this exciting.

I walk to the studio via the river, normally its full of ducks
and gulls and what-not. Seems it was too cold even for them!

This guy however braved the ice cold water and came up close to say hi.

I'm not really a botanist, but I'm pretty sure that November (that has so far only seen 3 hours of sun light) is not the time to start blooming?!

So we worked on more shading, we hit the rather nice areas
of the elbow, the dip and inner arm. I only cried 5-6 times.

Can't really bend my arm that much but its looking super
cool so far. :)

As I have some large (as yet) un-inked rectangles, you can see some
nice bruising that would otherwise be hidden by ink.

You call this living!!!!

Sorry for the lack of blogging action over the past few days, we had a little internet connection issue here. We managed to survive (just) but it's not what I would call 'living', thank god for the iPhone.

Had another sit with Judd on the sleeve today, i'll get some nice pics up for you over the weekend. Until then here is a picture of my 'tash to keep you going.

Peace for now!

MEGA UPDATE!!

Greetings blog readers!

No bloggins over the weekend...sorry but I was having a bit of an 'internet free' weekend. Not sure why, just kind of worked out that way. It was nice.

So to make up for it here is a MEGA post!!!

Tattoo: All is pretty much healed up from the last session. So I am all set for the next drilling this Thursday in Cph, so expect some pics Thursday/Friday of some more shading.

Yes, there will be something in the rectangles.

Mmmmm swirly.

Movember: I figured it was worth a picture now as there is something to show. Not to bad for a weeks worth of growth, should be rather comical in another week.

Manly? Stupid? a little gay? you decide.

Apart from the Tattoo healing and 'tass growing we had a nice weekend food wise. Friday morning we had peanut butter french toast. It's a great way to start your day...or afternoon....or evening...whenever really, it rocks.

Delicious but deadly!

Cooked up a nice meal on Friday night just to add to the taste bud sensation. Roast duck with a crispy potato rosti and reduced tomato and sweet red onion relish no less.

Nom.......very nom indeed.

Saturday continued the culanary madness with the cooking or the egg custard tarts. Had a bit of a pratice run on Friday which was good as there was some points to change. So on Saturday Fee worked her magic on a thick and yummy custard and I rolled and cut the pastry.

Three whole trays!....THREE!

Golden and tasty.

We had some friends (yes, we have friends) over on Sunday afternoon to have some Hot Chocolate and to eat the yummy Egg tarts. They went over very well, so much so that everybody ate too much and did not need dinner that night....'dems good eats'

Little update.

Been a busy few days, so there's not a huge amount to tell but I still wanted to give you a little update.

Movember: Well the hair is growing as expected, not worth a photo at this point. We have a little piggy bank at work that is starting to fill up, so fingers crossed that the cash will grow as our facial hair does.

Tattoo: It's at the 'oh my got I want to scratch it' stage at the moment, you know what I mean, when it looks like a flaky pastry? I'm leaving black skin flakes wherever I go at the moment....again it's not worth a photo and looks a little icky. No need to thank me.

Doodles: Was in some boring meetings yesterday, and you know what that means? Doodles!

Cute little tattoo inspired skully.

"Jaw dropingly good!'
Don't think dropingly is a real word, but whatever.

Posh skulls who say such things as "I say!" and "Jolly good".
Because thats what posh skulls would say.

Not sure why they are all of skulls, just in a 'scary' mood that day I guess. Might paint some of these this weekend as I plan to chill out, bake and paint all this weekend......sweet!

Pastel de nata.....

Over the past few weeks I have learnt to cook:

- Lime and chocolate cheese cake.

- Strawberry / Chocolate ice cream.

- Creme Brulee

-Bread and butter pudding

All of which turned out very well indeed and we have now done them on a few occasions. My tongue and friends are very happy with all these delights..........my waist line is not so happy. :)

So now I think I am ready to attempted 'Pastel de nata!'

This is a famous Portuguese desert that me and Fee love, so if I can cook this life will be good. Our Portuguese friend (Ines) moved out of Vejle to Malmo, so now I HAVE to learn instead of having them made for me. It's basically a custard tart that tastes like it was made by the gods themselves, so i'm going to try and make a batch over the weekend....watch this space!!

Mmmmmmmmm! Crack in tart form.

Movenber has begun!

So, just to bring you all up to speed. Me and a group of guys from work are all taking part in 'Movember' to raise money towards helping cure prostate cancer. Basically you have a nice clean shave on the 1st November, then grow a mighty 'tash for the rest of the month all while being collecting money......to look stupid.

This is my handsome rugged self.

This is how I now look...very odd.

I have not been clean shaven for a very long time, I look about 12 years old. The wife is kind of freaked out with my baby face look a little as well. But it wont take long before there is some fuzz on my top lip, so watch this space!
